Lesson 1: Harvesting & Preserving Herbs

Download the lesson here.

In the lesson, I mention several times how very important it is to label our preserved herbs. I've created some labels for you that you can print and use as you desire. These are big enough to allow for simple labels that include ingredients and date. They're pretty too, which isn't a requirement but is sometimes nice.

You can print the labels here.

Lesson 2: Making Herbal Infusions

Infusions are a great way to put all those herbs (and flowers and weeds) into forms we can use in a variety of cooking methods. These infusions give us options for creative uses in savory and sweet dishes alike.

Use the same harvesting methods mentioned in lesson 1 and then get to infusing. There are a number of suggestions in the lesson but don't be rigid about those. Use them as an inspiration point but take advantage of anything you have growing in your yard or things that might speak to you personally.

The lesson and recipes can be downloaded and printed here.

Because herbal infusions tend to make amazing gifts in my experience, you can download and print some beautiful gift tags here.
